Saturday Report

It was a beautiful weekend and we totally forgot about work, internet, plans and any other boring and bothering stuff.  I tried to increase my presence and I think I succeeded, I enjoyed so much spending time with Bogdan and the kids, you know, just living on basics. We don't need too much to be happy, just the presence of people we love, some food and some beer :).
We spent the whole weekend in a small village between the hills, one and half hour driving from home, in my brother's yard, playing with the kids, sleeping, barbecuing (I mean eating, because my brother prepared the food) and making soap bubbles. And pictures. That's why I'm telling you today only about Saturday, it was hard to choose from more than one thousand pictures, and Sunday was so glorious! I need to tell and show you more.
Radu was the number one bubbles fan this time, he fought with Mara every 10 minutes for the bottle, even we brought one for each kid.
Mara was running all the time, up and down, picking flowers and playing with Alexandra, her cousin.
Children's table...
 Our wise niece, Alexandra.
 Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles.
Runa was very helpful with the kids on Saturday... I might tell you later what she did on Sunday :).
 Accomplices in action!
Dolls in chains, lots of imagination flying around!
Marian, my brother, preparing the wood for barbecue. He is the best!
Meanwhile, Radu was overturning Runa with the beach chair... yes, he is very strong!
There was kind of swinging competition...
Maria won... she is 1 year old and her grandmother is teaching her to walk. She can swing better.
But soon she's gonna run, no more grandma's help.
Alexandra forgot about the soap bubbles, she has chosen the dandelions instead...
Mara is already an expert in blowing dandelions!
 Sharing secrets...
 ... and wonders...
It was Alina's birthday last week and we kind of celebrated her Saturday night! Happy Birthday, sis! We should do that again, because this is the first Alina's birthday we didn't dance!
 That's me, yep.
 My barbecuing brother!
My sweet sister-in-law.
Ice cream devouring on Saturday, Paracetamol on Sunday.
Told ya' I didn't know what to choose!
Bogdan doing what he does best!
See you soon with the Sunday adventures (and some new and beautiful places to discover)!
I'm wishing you (and myself) a fabulous week!

Mara's TVR Show Coming Soon

She was invited, among another eight kids from her ballet opera troupe, to record a show for the Romanian State Television. Of course I'm proud, of course I'm happy, of course I have to share it!

Mara's Opera Show

Yes, she is a little star, she cries when you're threatening her about not going to rehearsal, she puts order between children and dances her soul out. On Sunday she perfomed on the main Romanian Opera stage: "The Doll's Store". I'm very proud of my little daughter and I'd love her to pursue her dream of becoming a real ballerina.
Pictures by Mihai Stetcu.

I asked myself if is my dream or her's, cause I didn't want to force her to fulfill my own dreams. Well... I never dreamed of being ballerina, I always wanted to be a gymnast. When I was a child, my real star was Nadia Comaneci, that's what I was dreaming about. But my skills were never so sharp, so I chose to be for a long time an artistic gymnast, before this sport became an Olympic discipline.
So, I hope Mara will have the drive to become a ballerina, as I know we will help her in all her wishes and dreams.

Barcelona, day #3

On Sunday we did all the things we didn't do before, even with so many visits in Barcelona: we went again to Sagrada Familia in the morning, to visit the tower and interior without builders, like the last time we saw it. Runa was absolutely astonished, and I can say that also about myself, because the feeling you have in a church flooded with light is like nowhere else.
Gaudi was a huge genius and is gonna take a long, long time for the authorities to complete the whole building, but you can see how great he was by watching Sagrada now. Is completed by his guidelines, with stained glass windows and lots of unexpected details, as balconies and columns.

Then we split: Bogdan went to the Formula 1 Race at Montmelo (guest post coming soon!), me and Runa up on Tibidabo, to visit the adventure park. Runa was thrilled about the park, is on the top of a mountain, with a huge mountain russe and lots of other amusements. She got scared in a swing boat (just watch her expression!), but she faced well all the other devices.

In the evening we met again all three to enter the Aquarium, in the port, then we ate at La Bombeta (you can find more about this crazy place here).

Yesterday, on our way home, Runa told me she would like to stay there forever. Well... who knows? It was also in my mind, in the same time. Perhaps she will. Is closer to Lisbon than Bucharest, isn't it? :)
