This year, we spent our holiday with Bogdan's cousin, Alina, and her harmonious family. The kids were more behaved than ever before, listened more and were quite helpful with the everyday life.
Because last year Alina and Gabi couldn't come with us at Side (here you can see 2011 post), we decided to rent a car and repeat the trip for them to admire Manavgat's large waterfall and Apollo's Temple.
We left the hotel in the afternoon, in order to catch the sunset in Side, and we headed first to Aspendos, then to Manavgat. The milky white waterfalls are not very high, but they are as large as the river and in a hot summer day the air is refreshing from the petty drops of water.
We took pictures to each other, for sweet memories...
Radu has protested unsuccesfully...
Runa comforted me with a large hug, than offered to take a picture of me and Bogdan...
Next stop: Side.
First impression: nothing changed.
Second impression: same as the first one. We retrieved the same colorful windows, with watches...
... jeweleries...
... lollypops...
... shoes...
... spices and local wines...
... and Turkish delight.
The same pharmacy sold the same potency meds and pain killer balms, this year they added some vitamins, but I think it was the designer's idea, to keep up with the color scheme...
The Chinese shop with "alish-verish" (hotch-potch) merchandise, from lanterns to swimming suits...
... and Mara's destination, the same shop with Turkish dancer noisy suits...
... with such glittery and colorful fabrics it made my eyes blind for a while.
We spotted the dinner restaurant, with a playground on the beach, of course...
Then, we found a Romanian flag from ice drinks...
... just besides the ice-cream sellers, where the kids went really crazy. Some adults, too.
Watching the pictures, I realized is the third year we shot the exactly same boat, perhaps is time for a change...
Missed you, baby, but next year I hope we'll go to Kemer, for a change.
Alina, Emel (left) and Leman (right) were enjoying the ice-creams in the shadow of Apollon's Temple...
I guess Leman enjoyed it more, don't you?
While Mara was going crazy after the glittery harem pants, Radu chose a Yoda t-shirt. He tried it on and he absolutely refused to take it off. Star Wars won, Bogdan happy dad.
Runa was very proud of her new fashionable t-short and sandals, I really don't know when she grew up such a pretty missy.
The juniors, a quiet moment...
Ok, the moment's gone... I can still hear them. Trust me.
We ate there, on the water, watching the sun going down, savoring the moment, with a glass of rosé wine in our hands, promising to each other to repeat the experience next year, in the same company.
The holiday is over, but we were happy with each other and it was the first time we came home from Children's holiday in a better shape than we left.
It may be the company, it may be the training (Sibiu for New Year's Eve, Italy for Easter), what I know is that is was the best summer holiday with kids ever!
